Flipping through this slideshow on flickr brought back all of the election butterflies that I felt on Tuesday night. (When the results from California, Oregon and Washington finally came in and Obama reached 270 electoral votes, the bar I was at erupted into cheers and I was so excited I knocked all the drinks off the table and into my friend’s lap.) But I’m sure that nothing I felt can compare to Barack Obama’s feelings that night. These photos, taken by David Katz of the Obama campaign, show Barack Obama, Joe Biden and their families watching the election results come in, watching John McCain’s concession speech, and on their way to Chicago’s Grant Park. An intimate look at the private lives of our next administration.
