Like most Americans, I respect Bill’s ability to run a country (and economy, stupid) and, most of all, his basic goodness—he actually cares about people. That said, he wasn’t so smart when it came to his personal life, as we know, and I’m glad to have the soap opera that was his last few years in office behind us—it was a divisive time for Red and Blue America.
And so it is that I was faintly suprised when, watching Letterman tonight, I saw a President talk about the issues with a sense of intelligence and genuineness. It was altogether refreshing, after eight years of Dubya. Click on the pic below for video:
