elephantjournal.com Reviews: Patagonia Fly Away Flip-Flops ~ via Lindsey Cash.

Rating: 8 out of 10

I’ve been enjoying Patagonia’s “Fly Away” flip flops for women—they’re super padded and comfy, plus their light blue color, “low tide,” is just feminine enough. And, it was even more enjoyable to find the following bit of background information on the company’s website, where the folks at Patagonia tell us:

We didn’t invent the flip-flop. We just made it a little less environmentally harmful, from the compression-molded EVA midsole (20% recycled) to the rubber seashell-patterned outsole (20% recycled) to the nylon toe post (100% recycled). And both the suede leather footbed and pigskin-lined leather strap are tanned to Leather Working Group environmental standards.

These little eco-friendly factoids scored a lot of points with me, and as for design points, the Fly Away features a pretty and subtle flower pattern on the toe, which I found unexpected and stylish.

My conclusion? I expect to see a lot of Fly Away sandals around Boulder. They’re wonderfully sporty and pretty—just like the lovely ladies of Boulder!
