Lately, I’m starting to feel really pregnant.
Afterall, it’s the fall now…
Originally, we didn’t think we’d be having a baby in a few days,
we thought we’d be on our way to Tampa, FL to see U2 on their 360 tour.
(It would be like church to me)
And up until about a week ago, we thought that we still would…
but seriously?
I have to admit, in the past we have been those people;
you know the type,
the ones who think they can just fly here for a concert,
there for the fun weekend with friends…
here,
there,
just trashing up the atmosphere with our carbon refuse…
thinking nothing of it.
It’s supposed to be 94 degrees in Houston today, and I still know a lot of people who don’t believe in global warming.
Some of them even believe that climate change environmentalists are worse than terrorists…
I mean, whoa!
But I think most people just don’t believe that we would ever really
let it go that far.
Like, there’s got to be a happy ending to this…
and someone will come up with the technology that will keep us flying
at no cost to the earth.
My mom flew to Houston from California to help me get ready for the baby,
but if the baby doesn’t come this week,
she’ll fly home for a week and then fly back after the baby comes.
I think a lot of people are like that…
our perspective of distance must have gotten messed up somewhere.
The problem is, we don’t have the technology that will keep us flying.
And we can’t stop what we’re doing long enough to think about it either.
Lately, I’ve noticed that people get really uncomfortable when I mention the idea of a global flood.
But maybe we could just stop for a second, and think about it,
