I’m Sorry, Obama says. We could have stopped It.

It’s not Obama’s fault, I say. It’s to his credit that, unlike Dubya, he’s attending the meetings (George W. Bush declined to attend any such talks or push the ball ahead in any meaningful way until the tail-end of his term, when he started getting active on the issue).

As FDR famously said, “show me the movement.” Okay, that’s a paraphrase. But all great leaders are still followers—they can lead only if we follow, and with only 57% of us convinced that Climate Change is more real than the tooth-fairy, it ain’t our leaders’ fault.

It’s up to you and I.
