“Lungta.”

This was emailed, with the above title, and without further explanation, to the international Shambhala Buddhist community recently. I clicked on the link, and found

“Never Underestimate an Old Gal.”

And I’ve been smiling ever since. Wonderful, a great mental health break and reminder that we’re only as stuck and fragile as we allow ourselves to be.

PS: Lungta means a sort of genuine heartfelt confidence that’s without arrogance, but full of fresh air. The term comes from the Tibetan Buddhist tradition, and plays a big part on the Shambhala teachings.
