“The rain falls upon the just
And also on the unjust fellas
But mostly it falls upon the just
Cause the unjust
have the just’s
umbrellas.”
~ Cormac McCarthy
I used to have the above poem or witticism up in my closet in my apartment in Mission Hill, back in the day. I’d learned calligraphy as a child and had written the poem out all-fancy like with a little drawing of rain and an umbrella.
It’s the middle of hot, dry Summer here in Boulder—only it’s been cold and rainy for two days’ straight—pretty weird—and, today, this little ditty came to mind, again, out of the blue (or should I say, gray), and I thought I’d share it up.
