Warning: This video may cause worry and shortness of breath.
This ironic 1980s-style infomercial–flogging a fake brand of canned air called “Fresh Air”–is actually a brilliant new Clean Air Network (CAN) public service announcement, starring Hong Kong movie star, Daniel Wu.
Let’s hope we don’t have to buy clean air any time in the near future. Like we “need” to buy clean water. Breathe.
About CAN.
Clean Air Network Limited (an independent Hong Kong NGO) is a network bringing together and amplifying the voices of individuals, groups and organizations to urge the Hong Kong Government to act immediately to clean our air. Learn more about CAN at www.hongkongcan.org.
Side Note: I scream, you scream, we all scream… for clean air!
CAN has recently partnered up with Ben & Jerry’s to promote clean air awareness. They’re hosting a drawing competition so children can draw their artistic impressions of Hong Kong’s air–an opportunity to educate children about the hazardous air pollution conditions. Winners will receive ice cream treats.
Now, breathe.
