Gregory Alan Isakov: Valentine’s Eve House Concert Benefit for Lisa Sanchez.
One of Boulder’s star musicians playing romantic Valentine’s Eve concert for a cause.
Lisa Sanchez is the embodiment of sweetness—kind, helping others (it’s her profession; she’s a bodyworker). But cancer, of course, doesn’t care—too often, it strikes the best and most generous among us.
Recently, Lisa learned she had breast cancer. There’s more info below in the note from friend Dave Rogers.
A few friends have organized an intimate (well, 200 tickets are being sold) Barn Concert with Gregory Alan Isakov, a musician friend of elephant’s who’s been touring nationally and playing Red Rocks and can make women (and men) swoon with his rich, true voice.
So whether you’re a fan of wonderful music and want to take your loved one on a Valentine’s Eve date to an organic farm, or you’re a fan of Gregory and/or of Lisa, let’s all show up. If you can’t make it, buy a ticket anyway. She needs us. She needs community. This is an opportunity for us to pop out of our busy, self-involved worlds and remember what life is about.
Please come support Lisa and see a fantastic show in an intimate venue.
A note from organizer Dave Rogers:
Friends and Colleagues-
Bad things happen, sometimes really bad things.
Unfortunately one my dearest friends, Lisa Sanchez has breast cancer and has lost her ability to work as she goes through a series of surgeries. Lisa has spent her life taking care of others and that life hasn’t granted her the luxury of having the cushion to handle her prolonged absence from her work in the healing arts.
When one lives a life in as generous a manner as Lisa has one should get some love back when they most need it, shouldn’t they? The gods must agree, because one of Colorado’s most acclaimed musicians, Gregory Alan Isakov, has stepped up to help Lisa and is playing a benefit concert for Lisa on
Sunday Feb 13th at Frog Belly Farm, just outside of Boulder.
Even if you can’t come you can kick in whatever you can afford via the link below.
Tickets are $25-$100.
It’s a cozy venue on an organic farm and there will be an auction for all kinds of good stuff from local businesses.
