Like Burning Man but in Boulder!
The Boulder Bike Swap is set for Sunday, May 22 and simply put, it is going to rock.
What is a bike swap? It’s an extravaganza of bi-pedal goodness! It’s where hundreds of people gather to sell, trade, swap, and/or buy awesome discounted bikes and bike accessories! It’s where cool new products are demonstrated. The Boulder Bicycle Swap is the place to sell your old parts and bikes or take advantage of unbelievable deals on everything you need for a great season of cycling. Buy, sell, browse, shop, trade, or just hang out with really cool people! This is going to be one of those rare opportunities for professional cyclists (or wannabes), road bikers, mountain bikers, cruiser bikers, commuters, recreational riders, and Burners all get together to celebrate their common love for bikes!
Thousands of square feet of everything that cycling has to offer. Whether you’re looking for road, mountain, triathalon, BMX, vintage, new, or used, there’s something for YOU!
What makes it so Sexy? Why YOU do of course! YOU with your stunning sashay and swagger that propel you to the booths of over 50 vendors; YOU with your bright, beaming, peepers training in on incredible bargains; YOU with your groovy dance moves that you’ll bust out with as you enjoy the 5 live bands that will be playing; YOU with your sultry style as you schmooze and hang out with pros from the bike industry, vendors, bike shops, manufacturers, and like-minded (and pretty darned fit) cyclists! The event is clothing (mostly) optional too!
What makes it so Eco-minded? YOU do! All people who bike to the event will get free raffle tickets for lots of really cool items that will enhance your weekend blasts on the road or your daily commutes! We’ll also be sure to have the event be as zero-waste and recycling oriented as possible.
What makes it so Rockin’? YOU do! As you get your groove on with these fine local bands! The Campfire Vendetta, Stories of Justus, The Peters Brothers. Box, & Novus Folium (Nautical Mile will play at 1PM).
What makes it EXTRA-cool? First of all, it’s at the freaking’ Velodrome! (indoors and out). As if that weren’t cool enough, Elephant Journal’s own Waylon Lewis has been invited to be a guest speaker and Rev. Roger Wolsey of CU’s Wesley Chapel (who will biking there straight from church) will offer a special “Blessing of the Bikes” for those who wouldn’t mind an extra measure of safety and a dose of universal love as they hit the streets on their bikes this year!

Admission is FREE.
Community Cycles will be taking donations and 20% of the sales from Jamba Juice at that site will go towards that organization too!
