Greetings from Fearless Cottage. Just a heads up: We’re sort of in love with this thing we’re working on.
It’s called COMMON Pitch, and it’s Fearless Cottage/COMMON’s first ever public event. It’s kind of a coming out party, if you will (because we know you’ve been wondering what we do all day besides using Justin’s Nut Butter as body paint, which we’re still feeling awkward about).
But this party is hardly just about COMMON. In fact, it’s mostly about a set of incredibly brilliant entrepreneurs who will be deftly presenting their socially conscious business concepts for your viewing pleasure. And we’re not the only ones enamored with their quiveringly powerful brains – Washington Post, PSFK and other big-deal pubs have been watching this first class of COMMON Pitch entrepreneurs with a flattering curiousity.
So what’re the details? Well. There’s Community. Creativity. Collaboration. The inevitable-but-we-swear-to-God-it-rocks “Something we can’t talk about yet.” And just in case brains aren’t your thing, we’re flipping the switch midway through the night and turning the whole deal into a rock show. Because who doesn’t love Tennis?
What: COMMON Pitch
When: August 19th, 6pm
Where: Boulder Theater
Why: You need somewhere to hide from those inbound college freshman and their oppressive parents – somewhere with booze.
Tickets: $25 (get ’em before they’re gone)
So get your tickets. See you there. And stay tuned for a pre-party.
About COMMON:
COMMON is a creative community for rapidly prototyping social change. Launched in January 2011 by Alex Bogusky, Ana Bogusky, Rob Schuham and John Bielenberg, COMMON connects entrepreneurs, designers and creatives to launch socially beneficial businesses using the power of rule-breaking innovation. COMMON concepts for social good form online in the COMMON community, progressing through a series of collaborative competitions and funding rounds. The best ideas then move out of the site and into the world via a series of launch incubators and events.
