Boulder Event: Yoga Pod Expansion Celebration!

If you’ve been to Yoga Pod lately, you’ve probably noticed a lot of banging, clanging, whirring, and other cacophonous noises resonating throughout the studio.  No, this is not the latest trend in yogic sound therapy, but rather a sign of progress: Yoga Pod is in the final stages of their major studio expansion.

Yoga Pod is tripling their current space by expanding to three yoga rooms to host a wider array of classes, workshops, intensives and trainings.  The three rooms are all equipped with a sophisticated heat, humidity and flush system, and a new sound system.  One of the rooms is also equipped with a video/DVD projector and wall-size screen, perfect for Pod Movie Nights and teacher trainings.

The reason behind more space at Yoga Pod is, of course, more classes.  With the tripling of the size of the studio comes the tripling of class offerings.  Yoga Pod will be offering over 90 classes a week, increasing the amount of Vinyasa Flow, Hot, Anusara, Forrest, Yin and Foundations classes so there’s something for everyone, anytime.  For those who are new to yoga, there will be a new Beginner Basics class, and even a Yoga Beginner 101 3-week workshop.

The studios aren’t the only things that are getting spiffed up; both men’s and women’s changing rooms will now be expanded to include five showers, and the women’s changing room is even equipped with a separate grooming area.  Even the lobby is getting a facelift.

The greatest news is saved for last.  Just when you thought that the amazing array of teachers at Yoga Pod couldn’t get any more diverse, dynamic, and inspiring, Yoga Pod is thrilled to announce three new teachers who will be joining the Yoga Pod team: Amy Ippoliti, an internationally-recognized Anusara teacher and pioneer for advanced yoga education; Jeanie Manchester, a certified Anusara instructor and owner of Anjanea Yoga Shala, who has studied the practice for over 20 years; and Billy Goldman, a devout Ashtanga practitioner and teacher, who has had the privilege of studying under Sri K. Pattabhi Jois.  With the addition of these three inspiring instructors, Yoga Pod is gaining over 60 years of combined experience in the study of yoga.

Curious to see what all the hype is about?  Yoga Pod will be celebrating their new space by hosting an Open House and Expansion Celebration on Saturday, October 1st from 6pm-10pm.  Everyone is welcome!
