Discovering Passion & Purpose: A Personal Mission/Vision Workshop.
Incorporating Mudras, Mantras & Movement, an epiphany awaits you!
It takes Heart.
We’re pleased to announce that we successfully launched our first Heart, Mind and Mat™ series, a 6-hour workshop over three consecutive Saturdays. We took a journey through imagery, and traveled up the body through the seven chakras, where we aligned the external aspects of our life (now and as a child) with the internal energies of the subtle body.
It was emotional, eye-opening, heart opening and revealing for our 32 participants. We encouraged our students to remove themselves from their day-to-day routine and “see it differently.” Their hearts were wide open to the possibilities of what lies ahead in this new year, and how only WE can make an impact and take charge of our lives. They were inspired. We were moved.
It takes Mind.
We worked hard! There was some “fun-work,” much like homework, but enjoyable (and challenging!). We provided our students with the tools necessary to write their own personal mission and vision; how they want to see their lives unfold. We encouraged each of them to take charge of their lives by discovering their passion through a successful mission and vision exercise. There were epiphanies, tears and excitement. The energy was high, as we continued our journey up the subtle body releasing blocked energy in the chakras through mudras, mantras and movement.
It takes the Mat.
We bring it all together and soak it up during the time we invest on our mat. Our sacred little piece of rubber that provides solace for us to sink into without judgment, no matter what else is happening in our lives. We melt in, we float high, we sweat, we twist, we bend, we breathe…we let go. Then we roll it up and tuck it away until the next time it touches the yoga room floor waiting for us to step on, and find our peace.
Incorporating all the lessons of the days’ workshop, we would then invite those thoughts and feelings to permeate our soul as we began pranayama with a specific mudra related to the chakra we were focused on. We then practiced together with a structured sequence of postures that opened up the chakras which were the focus of the day.
Our session concluded with a delicious savasana and guided imagery which allowed everything to sink in. Everyone seemed to be buzzing when they left, with a heart more open, a mind free to discover, and a body that was rejuvenated.
We want to thank our students for their hard work and dedication, and for making this dream come true for us. We are excited to announce that we will be offering the series again, three Saturdays in March (March 3, 10 & 17, 1:00 – 4:00p.m.) as many more students have expressed interest in attending! With love, gratitude and joy.
