And they love you anyway!
I’ve seen this attributed to Elbert Hubbard, Mark Twain, C.S. Lewis and “Anonymous.” Whoever said it, it’s important to remember. We get so speedy and busy. We worry about lots of different things we need to have or do, that in the long run might not matter much at all. In the midst of all that, it’s our true friendships that keep us sane. Our lives are richer because of our friends:
They lift us up when we need help.
They always have a hug ready when we need it.

True friends aren’t afraid to criticize us, and they know that friendship means sometimes you have to apologize.

The best friends know to take Camus’ advice:
“Don’t walk behind me; I may not lead. Don’t walk in front of me; I may not follow. Just walk beside me and be my friend.”
