You Want Solar Power & Wind Farms? Or Toxic Coal & Oil? Your Voice Counts!

Image: Give a Sh*t about Nature

Every hour the sun beams onto Earth more than enough energy to satisfy global energy needs for an entire year.

Yet… solar technology produces less than one tenth of one percent of global energy demand.

U.S. wind resources could power the nation 10 times over. Good news: Wind provided 35 percent of all new U.S. electricity generation capacity between 2007 to 2010, according to the American Wind Energy Association.  And each year, U.S. wind installations will save the nation over 20 billion gallons of water that would otherwise be withdrawn for steam or cooling in conventional power plants.

But for the most part, we’re addicted to dirty energy.  We need to move faster on renewables like solar and wind.

Your Voice Counts! Sign this petition from EcoWatch telling Congress to expedite renewable energy.

Then share this far and wide with your friends.
