The beautiful Tao Porchon-Lynch touched us deeply in the Central Park NYC Red Shoot, celebrating her induction into the Guinness Book of World Records for being the oldest living yoga teacher in the world.
Six months later, somewhere in the Connecticut countryside, I met with Tao again. This time, she brought her dance partner, Hayk Balasanyan, and had her eyes on the possibility of a different title: ‘The oldest living ballroom dancer in the world.’
I didn’t and still don’t know anything about ballroom dancing. I love Tao and she brings the quality of creation to everything she does and this was inspiration enough.
So, here’s what happened in some magical fields of New England on an immensely enchanting autumn day.
“Nothing is Impossible” ~ Tao’s words after coming out of this pose
“Autumn is a reminder that while the leaves die and fall, there will always be Spring, a chance to replenish and be reborn again. We all have the opportunity to replenish ourselves, to be reborn.” ~ Tao
“I never say goodbye, I say, “au-revoir.” Goodbye is so final. Au-revoir means I will see you again.” ~ Tao Porchon-Lynch
