Fracking is not a hippie liberal environmentalist issue. See GASLAND and you’ll see it’s hitting conservatives and hunters and business owners and real estate values and children…all of us. Hard.
Fracking is everywhere. Hide yo wife, hide yo kids, hide yo health, hide yo real estate value…it’s bad, bad, bad stuff. It causes little earthquakes and dirties millions of gallons of drinkable water. All for 50 cent savings on gas—when instead we could be investing in solar and wind and going all clean, green and domestic.
Yesterday, fracking was approved in Waylon’s hometown of Boulder.
Today, he sits on his front stoop and asks expert Josh Fox, a Yankees fan, the big-time director of Gasland, how to win this ballgame against the Big Oil n’Gas Lobbyists who are running ruffshod over the wishes of conservative and liberal citizens alike.
Fracking sucks.

PS: And if you don’t think you care about fracking after watching the above…
“German brewers concerned fracking could contaminate water supplies, violate beer purity law of 1516.” That’s a headline from today!
So: non-violent, civil disobedience…this is our solution. And showing up! Not enough to facebook it. Right Waylon Lewis?
Slacktivism is good start…sharing and making noise can make a difference, online, we’ve seen that via Reddit, Occupy, in Iran…but it’s not enough.
