NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LePierre made headlines when he declared a week after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shootings that “The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun.”
On August 20th, 2013, a bookkeeper at The McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Atlanta proved that empathy, kindness and connection can stop a school shooting.
While this is a lengthy recording, it is worth it to listening to in its entirety.
