Rational acquaintances of mine often argue that gmos haven’t been proven to be bad for us, so it’s anti-science to want to label (not ban) them. I respond: cell phones weren’t, and now they are. Asbestos wasn’t, and now it is.

The burden of proof should be on the companies with the new products, not We the People, used as guinea pigs.
