Pele and Yemaja, The Goddesses
I was born from the ocean
I am made of sand, rocks, and seashells
blue and white waves caressed me into being
my skin is as black as coral
that in Hawaiian is called
ēkaha kū moana
I lay on the beach, and talk to the ocean
Yemanja, Ocean Goddess
Did you swim with the mermaids today?
I brought flowers for you
Because today I go to the ocean to be reborn
