Andrea Stocking lost her father, Mark, to pancreatic cancer months before her wedding.
Determined to fill the emptiness left by his passing, her brother Nick Middleton planned a beautiful moment for the traditional father/daughter dance. He recorded a rendition of “Butterfly Kisses,” the same song Andrea’s father and her sister Kristen had danced to at Kristen’s wedding years earlier.
As the song began to play, members of Andrea’s family stepped up to dance with her: first her grandfather, next her brother Luke, followed by her brother Nick and then her father-in-law Scott.
It’s an incredibly touching display of love and the everlasting support of family.
It’s doubtful a dry eye will be left after viewing this amazing piece, so I must add a heartwarming tissue alert:
Here is a follow-up to the family since the video was posted. Andrea and her husband, Luke Stocking, are expecting their first child.
“I sustain myself with the love of family.” ~ Maya Angelou
