“I think this is an interesting time,” offers Russell Brand, “I think the people are interested once more in formulating a different society.”
“I think people are kind of bored of being exploited. They’re bored of a cultural narrative that supports elitism and exploits the people. The planet is being destroyed, we are creating an underclass…(and) we are exploiting poor people all over the world. And the genuine legitimate problems of the people are not being addressed.”
And to this, we are all very much witnesses. We see instances at every turn in our lives, and the aftermath posted daily on our evening news.
This has become the sad truth of our world. That exploitation wins out over compassion.
Or, does it?
Friedrich Nietzsche once said, “He who has a why to live for can bear almost any how.”
I think our ‘why’ is the rest of this most beautiful human family, and our how rests deeply within our hearts.
