As someone who’s been called the word “Fat” many times in her life, and attended a “Fat Camp,” the below video truly resonated with me.
However, I think it will resonate with anyone who’s ever felt trapped inside societies cramped body-shaming-box, and was therefore made to feel “lesser than” because they did not possess the elusive “right kind of body.”
So thank you Megan Falley for this beautiful spoken word poem and your courage to speak your truth.
And thank you for commenting on the damaging, and ridiculous, nature of labeling and stereotyping.
