James Avery passed away, today.

“James “Uncle Phil” Avery was a hero for boys growing up without a father. His character was one of the first on television to portray that everything can still be OK with a dysfunctional family and that your life is what YOU make of it.

Thank you Uncle Phil for being a TV dad for more young men than you’ll ever know.”
