Chip Willson, CEO of Lullulemon, announced last Thursday that Lullulemon will begin manufacturing yoga clothing for cats.
The line will be made from the leftover fabric from its human clothing. Lullulemon is creating the cat yoga clothing in an effort to reduce waste and turn a profit.
“I think that many people actually would actually like to see their cats doing yoga,” Willson said.
The cat yoga apparel will boast the same ultra-wicking properties as its human counterparts. It will also feature strands of fabric made from the same chemicals that exist in cat litter.
“I hate it when my hot yoga clothes smell like cat piss,” said Tabby Pawlinson, a feline cat-Ashtangi from Portland.
The apparel for felines is partly a P.R. stunt, designed to cultivate positivity among women and cats alike.
“I wanted to create some yoga apparel that would fit every pussy,” Willson said.
After last year’s public outcry over offensive comments regarding fat women in Lullulemon pants, Willson is eager to recover his reputation.
Many cats are responding with excitement.
“I think Lullulemon’s cat apparel will be purrfect,” said Calico Meowin, a San-Francisco based cat yoga instructor and cat yoga studio owner.
