Our National Park system is without a doubt one of the great gems of this country, covering 84 million acres of land!
Some of my very first memories of the great outdoors were at Yellowstone when I was in high school, and since that time, I’ve been in love with Mother nature. There are 58 parks in the U.S. and each one of them has it’s own magical charm. Yellowstone is extra special because it’s the world’s first national park, establish in 1872 by Ulysses S. Grant.
I’m currently in production of a new series on the National Parks for Backpacker Magazine, we won’t hit all 58, but I guarantee that you’ll enjoy watching these beautiful videos–and they might inspire you to grab your tent and hit the road!
