I trust me.
I’ve learned that there are many things I can control and many things I cannot. And through it all, I trust me.
I allow my soul to be touched by the beauty in the world. The colors of the sky, the sound of the waves, the smell of salt & sand. But I understand that some people lack senses.
I allow my heart to be soft and unsheltered. Which sometimes will translate to broken & hurt. But I’m ok with that. Broken and hurt are the forces that allow growth and light.
I allow my lips to speak kindness and smile often. But I know people won’t always speak my language.
I allow my life to be a message of warmth and gentleness. And when winter approaches, as it sometimes does, I allow the warmth of my loved ones to guard me.
I allow my arms to hug often and tightly but I’ve learned the importance of letting go.
I allow myself to be at peace, but I know I can’t control the war in someone else’s mind.
I allow my actions to bestow joy in the souls of others. But I know it is not my job to keep someone happy. Neither is it theirs to keep me happy.
And through it all, I trust me.
