What Would You Change About Yourself? Kids’ Answers vs. Adults’. {Video}

We all have insecurities, but where do they come from?

Or, maybe a better question is, when do they come?

Check out this video and see how differently adults answer the question, “If you could change one thing about your body, what would it be?” than children do. The answers are pretty revealing.

One thing I learned when watching this is how strongly adults seem to want to be “like everyone else.” They want to not stand out, they want to look normal, or look “perfect.”

But kids want to be extraordinary, unusual; they want to be superheroes!

What did you want to be like when you were a child? My family remembers me telling everyone that I wanted to be a T-Rex when I grew up. Now, I have sadly laid that dream to rest. And even more sadly, I’ve acquired more than a few insecurities on the road to adulthood. It happens to all of us, but the cool thing is it doesn’t have to stay that way.

We can let go of these insecurities. That’s really all we have to do: let go.

And then we can go back to dreaming big like we did as kids. Doesn’t that sound nice?
