I Don’t Know Who You Are, But I Know Who You Are. {Poem}

penguins love soul mate couple

We haven’t met yet, but I already know you.

You are kind; I recognize that instantly from the warmth in your eyes.

And I see it, always, in your everyday deeds.

You are respectful: towards me, towards others, towards yourself.

You are smart, but you don’t show it off.

And yet you show it quietly in all that you say and do.

You are funny; not in a raucously, look-at-me-I’m-the-class-clown kind of way.

But you are, and we laugh together every day.

You are sexy and cute and affectionate and cuddly.

A great kisser, a masterful lover.

You are generous; with your time, your attention and in every possible way.

You are confident, a straight talker and a man of integrity; I trust you.

You are familiar, comfortable, safe, exciting.

I don’t know you yet, but I know enough to recognize you when you come.

And I know enough to treasure you when you’re here.

You see me; you accept me; you love me.

You are your own person and I am mine.

And yet, you are mine; I am yours; we are one.

I can’t wait to get to know you, better.
