Spirituality means nothing to me,
For everywhere I walk is holy ground.
Each experience in my day is sacred,
Every person I meet a living sacrament.
Spirituality means nothing to me,
For every thought invites the yogic marriage of union and contrast.
Each birdsong is a psalm,
Every rain shower a baptism.
Spirituality means nothing to me,
For all of nature is my sanctuary—
The trees are my cathedral, the forest my temple, the meadows my shrine.
Spirituality means nothing to me,
For I celebrate mass with each human connection.
I hold communion with all beings, mindful of their blood and body sacrifices,
I build an altar to the Oneness of which we are all part.
Spirituality means nothing to me,
For every beneficial thought is a prayer,
Each silence a meditation,
Every serendipity a supplication.
Spirituality means nothing to me,
For every walk is a pilgrimage to Mecca,
Each sunrise a purification ritual,
Every kindness from strangers a sanctification.
My covenant is to be loving, kind and harmless towards all—
Worshiping the magnificence of creation
In harmony, peace and reverence,
With nature as my guide, and spirit as my holy compass…
Spirituality means everything to me.
