{Ed. note: We ask that you respect the privacy of Waylon and his family during this difficult time. As many of you may know, the return of the talk show has been met with a poor response from the Boulder community as well as our online viewers. We believe that Waylon’s recent erratic behavior was a direct result of this stress. We love Waylon and wish him the best as he pursues treatment. Thank you for you cooperation. Any questions may be directed to Lindsey Block at [email protected]. ~ Kate}

LEADING GREEN NATIONAL WALK THE TALK SHOW WITH WAYLON LEWIS ANNOUNCES NEW HOST:
Series Features Mindful “Enlightainment” With Live Tapings Held in Boulder, Colo. Videos Featured on PBS Rockies, Huffington Post, Care2, elephantjournal.com, And Others.
Boulder, Colorado—April 1, 2012—Walk the Talk Show with Kate Bartolotta, a leading green national talk show produced in Boulder, Colorado (since 2008) announces its return—with a new host. Once a popular, trail-blazing internet-based show, it was canceled after elephant magazine put out its last issue and went online, becoming elephantjournal.com. After four years of rebuilding, during which Walk the Talk Show has only taken place 20 times (featuring guests such as “Yoga Mogul” John Friend, Michael Pollan, Dr. Andrew Weil, Sister Helen Prejean (Dead Man Walking), Walk the Talk Show is back. And this time it’s got one of the leading “mindfulness” web sites in the world behind it. elephantjournal.com has been voted #1 in green on twitter two years running, and has 960,000 unique readers a month (Google Analytics).
Walk the Talk Show with Kate Bartolotta will offer bi-monthly public taping to be held at Boulder’s new eco Shine Restaurant, in a private event space.
Walk the Talk Show with Kate Bartolotta focuses on issues and personalities in sustainability, adventure, spirituality, education, consumerism, food, ecofashion, politics, wellness, the arts— “anything that helps us to live a good life that also happens to be good for others and our planet”
Adapting the classic talk show format—monologue, segment, two interviews and a band, with a houseband—Walk the Talk Show with Kate Bartolotta is free online, and open to the public in Boulder. The show will take place from 7 to 8 p.m., every other Thursday of the month, beginning on February 5th, 2012 with leading celeb feminist and star of The Notebook, Ryan Gosling, the bakers of Babycakes NYC, and musical guest Feist.
Tickets are $3, or bring a can or organic something for foodshare. The first 50 to arrive at the first three shows will get a golden ticket good for free admittance all season long.
Did you get this far? Really? Let me just say…
1. Nobody could ever replace Waylon!
2. Ryan Gosling, cupcakes and an cute indie girl band would be a great line up.
{Not particularly mindful, but winning nonetheless.}
3. Taking yoga pictures of yourself with your laptop is harder than you might think.
4. I am in fact going to visit the show—but not until May.
(And as far as I know, neither Ryan nor Feist will be attending).
