The pressures of life can be overwhelming. Even the most resolute soul can be worn down.
We enter a spiritual wilderness. We feel broken. While we’d never hope to feel this way, there’s a glimmer of light in it.
The soul, our core essential self, can never be broken.
What breaks are the aspects of ourselves that lack solid foundation: the ideas, concepts, perceptions and assumptions that guide our lives.
Living in a disharmonious way causes friction. It shakes things up until they break. Arguments, fights, stress and anxiety all create tension that leads to inevitable shifts.
Living through breaking points challenges every aspect of our lives. It provides us with opportunities to be set free, see our truths and realize increasingly deeper knowledge of ourselves, the world and our relationships.
The process of being broken is agonizing, and it’s difficult to stay present too. None of us asks for the shock, trauma, agony and bewilderment of chaos that can descend up on us.
The aftermath can be just as bewildering. Being whole, in an authentic way, leaves us in awe of the calm of a new normal.
Prayer, manifestation, intentions are growing in world consciousness. What most of us don’t understand is that the process of manifestation is not linear.
Asking for love, wisdom or asking to be loving, healing also brings challenges.
Whoever said that learning the subtle, sublime aspects of life would look beautiful, be easy or have a happy face?
Do rocks groan as sculptors breaks them apart, revealing once hidden shapes?
Does clay resist being formed?
In being broken, our limited selves diminish and our wholeness is unveiled.
