*Eleditor’s note: Astrology isn’t a religion. We’re not sure it’s a science, either. It’s magic, maybe. But, as with feng shui, say, things affect things. So as long as we don’t go blaming our problems on the stars, as long as we assume responsibility for our own actions…well, hell, a little auspicious coincidence and applicable wisdom can’t hurt. And so, with that grain of salt…enjoy!

The winds of change are kicking up.
It’ll be possible to feel and hear the motions if we listen hard enough. The first waves of 2016’s change factor are rolling in. Understanding the influences in play can be helpful and provide an opportunity to put together some of the scattered puzzle pieces.
Let me start off by saying that I am an event-driven person.
The nature of my work entails determining when energy kicks up and events start to unfold. The month of March is going to be precisely one of the times this year when things really start to happen—for a lot of us.
If we personally don’t end up seeing this in our own lives—then it’s likely we’ll end up seeing it in the lives of others around us. A lot of us will look back and see distinct beginnings as well as endings during this month. New doors are opening and old ones are closing.
We’re officially swimming through Eclipse Season—an important time of beginnings as well as endings.
There will be two distinct Eclipses during the month of March. The first one will take place on March 8th and 9th and the second on March 23rd. The precise times will vary depending on your time zone, but keep in mind that from an astrological point of view, events don’t necessarily happen on the exact moment of the eclipse. They can take place several weeks before or after. It all depends on your personal astrology chart.
The March eclipses that will take place have their own look and feel—but each one is equally important on its own. They help to evolve our ever-changing stories and create new playing fields to run through.
Things around us are changing—it’s been getting more and more apparent. But to be honest, all of these changes were set in motion a while ago. It’s just that we’re hearing and feeling them prominently now. People are beginning to make radical decisions and are being pushed into change whether they are ready or not.
The effects of necessary change are kicking in.
The universe is always helping us tell our stories and the moving planets help to bring what needs to happen alive. Phases come in and out as a result. When we see that come into play in our own lives, it’s a miraculous discovery. There really is a bigger picture in play whether we realize it or not.
New people, places and beliefs need to be discovered and let go of as change sets in all throughout our lives.
Astrology and its effects help us to define this.
What helps to bring these distinct phases of beginnings and endings into play are eclipses. Not everyone will feel the effects as prominently as others—that is determined by how each eclipse plays out in our planetary picture.
Eclipses most often take place in pairs. One equates to the beginning (Solar Eclipse) while the other symbolizes an ending (Lunar Eclipse). Each one reveals an important piece of our stories.
A Solar Eclipse is a very powerful New Moon and moment in time where new things come alive. This is the moment when new beginnings come into play and major intentions can be set. It takes place at the exact moment that the Sun and Moon touch and energy ignites in radical ways.
The March Solar Eclipse takes place on March 8th and 9th and falls in the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces.
It will also be classified as a Supermoon—creating an even bigger energy surge. Major new developments are about to be set in motion as a result. This is what I like to think of as a total system reboot.
Keep an eye out for new beginnings taking root personally and for others around. Something powerfully new has the potential to take flight. Doors will begin to open and if we keep an open awareness we might decide that it’s the perfect time to take the leap into a new and perhaps different type of beginning.
Just a few weeks later the second part of the story is revealed. The truth of the matter is that eclipse opportunities come with caveats. For every door that opens—another one must close.
The closure piece is revealed with the Lunar Eclipse that will take place on March 23rd in the sign of Libra.
This eclipse will also pack a powerful punch given that it’s happening very close to the Aries Equinox (change of seasons). In addition, there’s also going to be some high energy alignments kicking energy up even further.
A lunar eclipse is a very powerful Full Moon and moment in time when an ending or culmination point is revealed. This particular lunar eclipse will highlight the sign of Libra (the sign the Moon will be in) and Aries (the sign the Sun will be in).
Compromises will be necessary given the balancing act in play.
Themes in our lives that need to be released will be ignited in order for us to more closely align with our destiny and life path. Sometimes we end up needing to let certain themes in our lives go in order to put more focus on a new direction.
Something else to keep in mind is that eclipses bring the Moon’s Nodes into the forefront. These are astrological points that can be looked out to help us hone in on our life’s mission. It’s a deep concept and one that comes into full focus during eclipse times.
As we embark upon this event driven high energy Eclipse Season here are some things to keep in mind:
1. Expect the unexpected. Eclipses have a funny way of diverting our attention to things we weren’t thinking of. Predicting the unexpected is impossible and I guarantee whatever you think it might be—it’ll end up being something totally different.
2. Prepare to say goodbye to something (but keep in mind that something new comes along with it). The themes of the “something” we have to part with could be endless—a way of life, a career, a job, a relationship, a house, etc. Parting with patterns of thinking and the way we do things are also up for reevaluation. There’s likely an ending in play—but remember that something new always comes along for the ride.
3. Prepare to compromise. We may feel defeated in some way with an eclipse and have to accept a compromise of some sort. It may not look that great in the moment but later on we’ll come to see the benefits of giving in a bit.
4. Be open to the possibilities. Sometimes new beginnings come in crazy packages. Trying to look at the potential of what the universe might be trying to say will have long lasting benefits.
On a final note, I want to mention that eclipses not only create eventful occurrences but they push us to stop and think about things in a different way. It’s important to listen closely to things happening to us during these peak energy times.
The Universe is talking loud and clear all throughout this impactful month. Ultimately it’s up to us to interpret the message.
