Why do we think it’s easier for everyone – yet more challenging for us
Creativity comes with a cost.
We naturally romanticise ourselves in the writer’s shoes for those of us ten steps behind. What life would be like with money, popularity, prestige and doors wide open pulling you inside the world of opportunity?
It’s so easy to become disillusioned with the writer. But, on the other hand, maybe they are unique, gifted, or found an easy way to the summit of riches.
We destroy our natural-born powers that can lead to success within this mindset.
Don’t be fooled into the explosions of romantic myths and cliches.
This is no overnight success, no free ticket to the summit.
It’s easy to see the ideals of a person external environment – and ignore the initial turmoil behind closed doors.
Awaken to the reality of the many hours and even years spent practising, failing, succeeding, crying, about to give up and endless self-doubt.
This is the suffocating dust behind the sharpened grindstone.
The number of obstacles endured was far too many and painful.
The fruit of success this masterful person possessed is their tenaciously unstop-able effort mixed with a burning desire – nothing else but this one thing.
So don’t fall for the overnight success – because there is none.
The cost is time, commitment, effort and self-control.
Do you want it badly enough?
