Love

It has been a little over a year since being on the island of Puerto Rico during Hurrican Maria. And then the passing of my best friend, who happens to be my Dad, the following day.

In the year since, as difficult as it was to move forward, I have managed to drive cross country,  perform my dream gig on a 100 year old sail boat, returned to my second year of working as a chef, learned and attempted to surf for the very first time. And after waiting for over 20 years, finally was able to experience my all-time favorite singer-songwriter perform live at one of thee best festivals ever!

The devastation endured has certainly left a permanent whole in my heart. And unless my Dad where to come back, nothing will ever fill that void.

But life can and should still be lived after death. I attribute my faith, my love for the arts, and my community for helping me endure and survive the worst part of my life and coming out on the other side blooming with still love and joy in my heart.
