‘Nuff said.
President Trump thinks it’s a “scary time for young men,” however:
“I can’t use public transportation after 7 p.m.
I can’t be brutally honest when you slide into my DMs
I can’t go to the club just to dance with my friends
And I can’t ever leave my drink unattended.
But it sure is a scary time for boys
Yeah gentlemen, band together, make some noise
It’s really tough when your reputation’s on the line
And any woman you’ve insulted could turn up anytime.
Yeah it sure is a scary time for guys
Can’t speak to any woman or look her in the eyes
It’s so confusing—is it rape or is it just being nice?
So inconvenient that you even have to think twice.”
Despite the fear some men seem to have over a misstep being misconstrued, being called “harassment” or “sexual assault,” as a mama of boys, I can confidently say it’s pretty simple and easy to teach right from wrong.

One day, when you are accused of immorality or a crime or an attack that did not take place, will you still enjoy the irony of the song?
I have personal knowledge of this.
I thank you for your creativity. Try to use it to heal.
I wish you peace and understanding only and always.
Funny thing, miss: everything you wrote is true.
Hi Mark, I don’t know you but I’m sorry that you were hurt by an accusation. I believe that if men and women proceed with “an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth” the whole world will soon be blind and toothless.
I would suggest that the song is not meant to accuse you personally; it’s calling out injustice, discrimination, and violence perpetrated against women by those in power, which goes back for centuries and is showing no sign of stopping.
Unless we all speak our injustices, they will continue.
Peace,
Andrea
Funny thing, miss: everything you wrote is true.
Just remember that in projection, everything in the mirror is still true, except…
I don’t take it personally. I am a peacemaker.
Lynzy,
It has been known since the beginning of time, that women (some women) get their advice from snakes.
It was a woman who invented lying.
All the women who accused men of rape or sexual assault, especially the ones who have done it on the media, need to be put on a lie detector and asked what they did to pull the “so called assault” on to themselves?
What they did to cause the problem?
Like has been said: If a woman complains about wife abuse or what ever, you have to look under her pillow, for the baseball bat that she used to beat her husband.
Then put her on a lie detector, to find out what she did to her husband, or did not do for her husband.
It is very apparant that you would be toxic to a relationship.
I wish you luck in finding a good husband.
Modern women, liberated women, feminists have made the relationship scene so dangerous today, that a man has to take new extreme measures to protect himself from being charged with assault, or taken to the cleaners, or what ever.
A man needs to have women submit applications and resumes. Then undergo thorough screening. Then undergo several layers of extensive psychological examinations. Then put on a lie detector to find out if everything she said was true? Then be willing to undergo extensive education and training on how to be a human being, a woman, a wife and a mother.
Then sign extensive contracts.
Lord help your future slaves. There is nothing anyone can do to deserve abuse of any kind.
Wow, David. You’d fit right into the Republic of Gilead.
A. The number of false accusations of assault are far, far, less the the number of women sexually abused in this country.
B. Why don’t all the decent, honorable men refuse to be included in the demeaning idea that men are no better than animals and unable to control their most base impulses just because they are men?
Well, at least we know you are part of the problem. So thank you for your honesty
Thank you for the song, it is so true and on-point. #metoo
Know that by writing and performing the song you are fighting back against the toxic opinions expressed below by Mr. Pelly.
Peace,
Andrea
Your thoughts remind me of my daughter pouting when she gets on restriction. You don’t even understand the context of President Trump’s statement. It is a very scary time for men and boys. Innocent males in the United States because of the women that have the power in her word and her word alone.
Well sung. It’s beautifuly said…. it’s a scary time for females… my daughters & granddaughters.
All my “boys” …. we’ve raised them to respect females the same as males. If you wouldn’t do or say it to some guy… you shouldn’t say it to a girl. Not so difficult.
I agree with you, its about respect, irrelevant of sex, colour, religion etc…respecting each other as human beings!!!
