“The mindful life,” which we here at ele espouse, explore, expound upon and occasionally even grock ourselves—is all about karma. For everything you and I buy comes from somewhere—and by playing a role in the infinitely interdependent cause-and-effect of supply-and-demand, we’re creating waves—good and bad. In other words, we are what we wear. And when we buystylin’ clothes & gear from independent companies that offer chemical-free, fair-labor or reused products, we’re pretty cool. This was the inspiration behind ele’s first ecofashionshoot. And the good news is that these days, with buzzwords green and eco everywhere you turn, we can finally feel good and look good at the same time. We invited 12 climbers, two cooks, one cellist, two artists, two children and four mindful businessfolk to model generously-donated green gear from a few of our favorite companies.
