Our bodies are giving us hints all the time.
They send us warning signals and clues, letting us know when some part of our self-care or wellness is missing.
Sometimes, it’s just in the form of a little nudge—a gentle reminder to take better care of ourselves. Other times, we get full-blown SOS messages, telling us that we’ve completely neglected or overwhelmed our system.
One of the most common things that our bodies react to is when they’re deprived of something. Our modern diets and lifestyles have made it nearly impossible to get all the nutrients we need from our meals alone, so it’s all too common for us to be deficient in one nutrient or another (or many).
But it’s also possible—and even easy—to change that.
Pure Synergy is a company that is well aware of this common lack in our diets. They’ve created organic supplements that help us fill the gaps in our nutrition and give us healing ingredients, daily nourishment, and good health.
How to Know What Your Body Is Lacking
But how do we know what our body is lacking? How can we figure out what we’re not getting enough of or what we should be supplementing with?
That’s where our bodies’ hints are so damn helpful.
If we can learn what the warning signs are and how to interpret the body’s messages, then we can get a lot closer to knowing what’s going on inside and how we can better self-care.

6 Signs You’re Not Getting the Nutrients You Need
1. Gut Issues
We’ve all been there, even if we don’t always talk about it. Constipation, bloating, gas, diarrhea, pain, discomfort, weird poop. Not the sexiest or most fun thing to acknowledge, but it happens. And, more importantly, it’s often a big ol’ sign letting us know that something is off.
There can be a lot of different things going on with our guts, but one frequent problem is that we’re lacking the bacteria or enzymes that our bellies need to digest their best. We used to (I’m talking tens or hundreds or thousands of years ago) get these essentials from our diets, but our modern foods just typically don’t contain enough of them. So, taking a probiotic or enzyme supplement can be a good way to go.
2. Mood Swings or Lack of Focus
This is another really common one. Sometimes shifts in mood or focus can be attributed to things like stressful events, mental health struggles, lack of sleep, or other life challenges. But oftentimes, these mental/emotional symptoms are indicators of something we’re not getting enough of. Some of these important brain nutrients are B vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, and choline, as well as vitamins C, D, and E.
It can be quite a hassle to try to supplement all of these nutrients separately. But that’s why they invented multivitamins: they’re the perfect way to ensure we’re getting enough of a wide variety of nutrients and giving our brains the fuel they need. And if you’re looking for stress-specific, relief, you can take a stress-reducing supplement that fosters a balanced mood and a sense of calm.

3. Weakened Immune System
It’s 2020, and immunity is definitely having its moment in the spotlight. Most of us have become well-versed in the external defense mechanisms for our immune systems—hand-washing, not touching our faces, mask-wearing. But what we do for our internal defense systems is equally important.
If our immune system is weak and we’re more disposed to getting sick, it’s a pretty good indicator that our body is craving some more love in the nutrient department. Vitamins C, E, and A are antioxidants that support the body’s natural immune response. Zinc is a mineral that helps boost germ-fighting white blood cells.
There are also a variety of plant extracts that can support our immune system. If you’re not sure what to take, or in what amounts, an Immune Health supplement is a good place to start.
4. Vision Deterioration
We tend to think of worsening eyesight as some genetic predisposition or inevitable aspect of aging. And sometimes, in some cases, that is the cause. But other times, the cause is actually within our control.
Our eyes are incredibly complex organs that need a host of nutrients to keep them healthy. If you are finding it harder to see in the wee hours of the night, you may not be consuming enough vitamin A. This vitamin plays a vital role in allowing us to see in low light conditions.
Plant-based phytonutrients like carotenoids, flavonoids, anthocyanins, and polyphenols also play a critical role in nourishing, cleansing, and protecting our eyes. For example, lutein and zeaxanthin are carotenoids, found in dark leafy greens, that are particularly important for eye and vision health. If you want an extra vision boost, you could also try Eye Protector, a comprehensive blend of botanical extracts and concentrates that nourish and support healthy vision and eyes.
5. Fatigue
Fatigue is one of the most common and disruptive hints from our bodies. It can make things like getting through our days, focusing on work, or exercising feel frustratingly difficult. And it’s especially maddening and confusing if we’re actually managing to get enough sleep and still feel fatigued regularly.
And, no surprise, when this is happening, we should always try to find out if this is our body’s way of responding to a lack in our nutrition.
One of the regular culprits is iron. Approximately 20 percent of women and 3 percent of men do not have enough iron in their body. If we’re not getting enough iron, our body will often respond by making us constantly feel sleep-deprived and lacking in energy. If you feel like you’re dragging, it’s a good idea to check in and figure out if iron (or lack thereof, rather) could be the cause.
Other vitamin deficiencies that can cause fatigue are lack of magnesium, potassium, vitamin B12, and folate. If you’re feeling unusually tired or weak, it’s time to commit to a balanced diet full of all of the food groups. If you need extra help filling nutritional gaps, a Superfood supplement is the way to go.
6. Hair Breakage/Loss & Weak Nails
One of the more subtle nudges our bodies give us is in the health and texture of our hair and nails. Multiple nutrient deficiencies can cause hair loss or thinning and lead to weak, brittle nails. If you notice some unhealthy changes in your hair and nails, you may not be getting enough of vitamin D, vitamin C, iron, zinc, calcium, protein, and/or essential fatty acids.
The best way to remedy this is to focus on “eating a rainbow” of fresh fruits and vegetables, and consuming plenty of protein and complex carbohydrates. Taking a high-quality multivitamin can also help ensure we’re meeting all of our daily nutritional needs.

Our Bodies Can’t Always Do It Alone
Pure Synergy believes that everyone deserves to be well—in body, mind, and spirit. Their deep-seated care for the well-being of people drives their mission to create the best, most effective products possible. They’re dedicated to helping us bring wellness and nutrition in our lives, every day.
While it would be great if our bodies or diets naturally contained all of the nutrients we need, the unfortunate truth is that, most of the time, that’s just not the case. Which is why so many of us have experienced these warning signals that our bodies are craving more.
The good news is that it is very possible to listen to these clues and then give our bodies what they’re asking for.
Once we learn how to pay attention to and interpret these messages, and take the necessary steps and supplements to give our bodies what they need, our minds and bodies will feel a heck of a lot more nourished.
