A GIFT OF WONDER (Poem) by Barb Clarke.

The birds flock

to the bird feeder,

some with black,

capped heads

and others with

blue hues…

shining in the light.

A golden finch

is a feast

for the eyes,

leading the spirit

to rejoice

as it flies,

back…

to open sky.

The day is done

and night is falling,

hummingbirds rise

from the feeder,

the hum of wings,

promise…

a gift of wonder.
