Kierstyn Berlin

Kierstyn Berlin has had an interest in holistic design from a young age. “In my mind, holistic architectural design has always been the perfect merging of creativity with the potential for psychological, social, spiritual, and ecological evolution. Designing to impact people holistically is the merging of all that I am passionate about.”

Born in Pacific Grove and raised in Pebble Beach and Carmel, California, Kierstyn founded Community Palette (CP) during the recession. It was a “service” side project that started with recognizing a community need. Many lost everything and were struggling to survive on the Monterey Peninsula. With a goal to bolster the untapped creativity and talent that she saw all around her, she hosted the first CP event in 2013 along sponsoring gallery shows and several fundraisers. CP is all about creating the solutions she wants to see in her community: connection, passion in work, and a safe and supportive space for community to develop and grow.

Berlin makes it a goal to incorporate her interest in supporting local grassroots creativity, eco-responsibility, collaborative business models, and local economy into the work and impact that she aspires to professionally. Berlin has also always felt a strong responsibility around socially conscious cultivation and CP has been an impactful container in which to do that work.
