My cousin Lotta is the owner/designer for Inleaf Design.
She makes beautifully delicate print art on cloth. Lotta is a Swedish native and graphic designer…with a passionate interest in botany, gardening and sewing.
Lotta uses natural linen, organic cotton and hemp, as well as vintage and reclaimed fabrics for her creations. Her dyes and fabric inks are water based and non toxic, and all production is done in her studio in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Her inspiration is nature in general, with leaves in particular as her main inspirations. Lotta likes anything that has a natural feel in look and texture. She makes all sorts of items from pillows and napkins to stationary. The look achieves a one of a kind natural stamp on an organic surface. I love how she sews pin tucks in the fabric that reflect the artwork.
Lotta collaborated with my sustainable clothing line deux fm by printing lace by hand onto antique white tussah satin silk skirts and swimwear for Spring 2009.
She has also recently started focusing on larger pieces such as wall hangings and quilts for bedding:
Here are a few of the stores where you can buy her products (contact her if you want to carry her good stuff, too):
