Reflection exercise: grab a writing tool and a writing surface.
[If you’re on your computer this is as simple as opening a fresh word document. If you’re in a cafe on your iPad—grab the receipt from your morning java and a pen.]Type or write the above
_______ More/ _______ Less
Give yourself a moment to really cultivate what you need for each of those categories.
Close your eyes and picture those two blank spaces.
Open your eyes and fill in the blanks.
Try to keep this simple. Pare down the shrubbery of your mind and make a mantra of simplicity.
Let this be your mantra for the day, for this month, for the year (depending on how existential you just got in your napkin scribbles).
It’s easy to make a moment for ourselves to pause and reflect. That moment will be the drop that ripples the water in those outward flowing circles.
Follow those circles where they take you.
Let today’s flow reflect what you want more and less of in this present moment.
