I spent only four days on Maui, but in that short time I fell in love.
I’ve been known to fall hard and fast, but this was different, this was a genuine, lasting love. And no, I didn’t fall for a special girl, every beautiful girl had a beautiful man in tow. This is not where you go to meet your wife, this is the magical place you take her after the wedding.
I must admit that Maui (or anywhere in Hawaii) wasn’t high on my travel bucket list at this point in my life. I figured that it wouldn’t be very different than the mainland, not very adventurous and no vibrant culture. Boy was I wrong!
This little piece of tropical paradise blew me away in every way. The culture, the nature, the endless fun activities and the food were all top notch. Although this was a sponsored bloggger trip by VisitMaui, I am not being paid to say this. This little island in the middle of nowhere completely took me by surprise and I didn’t want to leave. As I sat in the airport waiting room with all the sunburnt honeymooners, I promised that I’d be back someday with my own dream girl.
Here are a couple of my favorite moments:
Paragliding off an ancient volcano.
And of course, I got on a bike!
Like elephant adventure on Facebook.
