Unfolding. {Poem}

Unfolding

Overwhelm within my heart

Melts swiftly away

Letting go further with each breath

Sensing the coolness rush in and the warmth of each exhale

Meditating after yoga

In a candlelit yurt deep within a redwood forest

My body spent

My heart open wide

Facing the sky

Unfolding

Each rib separating a bit more

Letting the light emitted and absorbed by my heart merge

Elusive peace

With my highest self washes over me

In this moment

So graciously offered

I came with heaviness

I will leave floating

On a cloud that is uniquely my own creation

Made of my evaporated tears of appreciation

Sacred release is mine
