Lilac and Lace
Sitting on the porch swing
Watching the water smoothly glide over the rocks
Breathing in fresh mountain air
My Pisces blood flows like that river
Always changing
Always flowing
Water soothing my soul, letting go of all my cares
A delicate lace dress covers my curves
Mountain mist soaks into my bones
I gently walk over the dew-covered leaves
Barefoot—feeling the Mother
Lilac flowers are scattered across the soil
Bright in the beautiful moonlight
The crickets kept a tune that blanketed the night’s air
While the dogs explored their surroundings
Enjoying the freedom of nature and all that she has to offer
We laughed the night away
Wrapped up in love and life around the camp fire
The stars above danced to the rhythm of the radio
We were lost
Lost in a world of peace
In that moment in time I felt at home
Where I should be
A mountain life
A slow paced life of living off of the land
Survival being essential with my own hands
The only complexity would be the wood walls in which my cabin is built of
I would forever be lost in a land of lilac and lace
Forever lost, but found, in my own saving grace
