For those of us who care about keeping things green in our homes, for environmental and/or for health reasons, this is an excellent guide.

Turns out it’s pretty easy to keep these bugs and small creatures out of your home without killing them, and without using toxic substances.

Before we get to the infographic though, I want to tell you a story from my personal experience. Beware of peppermint oil! It’s super powerful. It is indeed effective, and kept mice and spiders out of my little London flat quite well. But a little goes a long way. Putting some on a cotton ball and just placing near the openings in your home or in the corners on the kitchen floor will be more than enough. I made the mistake of placing a series of drops all along my window sill, and my eyes were watering from all the mint fumes.

I haven’t tried all the other methods listed here, I didn’t have a need to for the most part. But it’s great information to have on hand whenever the need comes up!
