As a Canadian, I love my neighbors to the south.

I have been privileged to visit many of your beautiful states. I have had the opportunity to meet many hard working, loyal Americans. I admire the patriotism that the American people hold compared to the presentation that often appears from my apathetic fellow Canadians. I marvel at the pride you have in your flag and country.

But like the guy in this video says, “What the F*ck America?”

What the actual f*ck?

I keep expecting to wake up to hear it has all been a bad (but hilarious) dream. The rest of the world is watching you. We are all bewildered at this behaviour of your leaders in waiting. I don’t want to believe that people like Mr. Trump speak on behalf of all of you. Like I mentioned, I have met some wonderful whole-hearted Americans. I talk quite frequently on social media with many more. The whole of America doesn’t strike me as a people that would allow this behavior. And maybe this—happening right now in the United States—is meant to bring you all together as a people to say, No! We will not allow this. We are not these people.

I for one, want you to know, we are here for you as you struggle to figure it out yourselves. I can’t help but think, like the rest of the world, what is happening to your country. It has got to be mind boggling to watch this unfold in your own yard.

But I also want to thank you. Thank you for providing us with hours upon hours of entertainment.
