I hope you know
I’m nothing like her

I don’t give third
And fourth chances

Because when I say no
I mean it
With every single cell of my being

That I won’t be the one who answers your calls
When something great in your life happens
Or when you are in deep despair

I’m a believer in connection
In community
That in the grand scheme of things
We are all in this life experience together

But I also believe in values
In respect
In integrity

I hope you know
That the effort you are putting in is futile

Because when some doors close
They are locked forever

Granting access
Only to those worthy
Of the quality of love
Respect
And attention that I deserve.
