Now, for your viewing pleasure and entertainment, the latest version of Bad Lip Reading—the “Star Wars” way.
What makes this version of Bad Lip Reading so special, you ask? Because it features Mark Hamill as the voice of his former co-star, Han Solo.
Remember, Mark Hamill, a.k.a. Luke Skywalker, a.k.a. the guy who we grew up with in the 80s (to us, he was “Star Wars”), who didn’t actually have one line of spoken dialogue in “The Force Awakens”?
If, like me, you grew up in the 80s and collected all things “Star Wars,” you probably still hold a special place in your heart for this ongoing saga. I still remember what it was like seeing a movie like “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” on the big screen with its futuristic technology and special effects—and being amazed.
What can I say, it was a much simpler time for us back then!
More than anything, this is seriously just a brilliant reminder for us all—straight from the force itself—to not take ourselves so dang seriously. Let’s remember to have some fun.
Mark Hamill as Leia and Han Solo both is one of the highlights, as well as his voice-over in all things Chewbacca. The most special moments include the death scene between Kylo Ren and Han Solo, when Kylo goes full creeper mode.
In the wake of the passing of Carrie Fischer, who was an idol of mine as a girl growing up in the late 70s and 80s—who didn’t want to be Princess Leia back then—I thought this was a brilliant tribute to her and our beloved “Star Wars.”
Kudos Mark, for your talents and your humor. We need you more than ever.
