Desire to Understand Everything

There is a way to understand something. There are ways to understand everything. At least that much we understand. But, certainly there isn’t understanding of everything. And that too we understand. Understanding is a very crucial aspect to how we experience, transmit, and become what is perceived to have been understood. For example, for one to be a good practitioner in their field, understanding is necessary on multiple levels in order for it to reflect in their intensity of involvement and depths of who they are. To understand is therefore also a way of being. You do not need to do anything about it. It is self evident. It is always on, and is a reality within, which is why it has come to bring a real sense of clarity, ease, stability, and capability.

The desire to understand is almost compulsive once life has evolved to the possibility of a human being. Definitely this may not be an absolute for everyone. Each based on their inclinations will be more driven to understand the world, life, themselves, or phenomena to the extent it burns and directs the course of their lives. Understanding appears to bring about a solution to the predicament of our individual existence. It shapes and then frees one of their own rigidity once the understanding is felt to be complete. For it to be totally complete, one will go on to understand the nature of their understanding itself, from where the idea of continuous learning, or learning to unlearn, or unlearning to learn stems from. The desire to understand life is at the core of the many physical and metaphysical understandings that we may seek on the surfaces. Because life is happening in such a unique way, giving each a completely individual experience of the existence that is, when this has arrived at the point of being a human manifestation, the desire to understand is a desire to recognize, apply, and dissolve into what is obviously far more than you and I, and significantly throbbing within. But, before we come to dissolving, which death seems to indicate as some sort of an eventuality, there is a desire to know it all, or have it all, or taste it all, or just get a touch of.

To understand that, will be enough to also indicate that nothing really is to be had, or known, or tasted, or even touched. If the whole of life is happening as it is, in whichever way, whatever the kind, to you, as a result of you, resulting in you, then the desire to understand everything is a desire to understand everything that you have known, or had, or tasted, or been touched by. If that is understood, then it is worth understanding that what is unknown and unbounded is an experience which is not in the realm of limited understanding. It will have to be an unbounded understanding of boundless ignorance. That ignorance too is of our own, which is not mine and yours. And the truth behind the ignorance, if the desire is to know that, then it is a desire to understand everything, knowing there is nothing in it. Only the existential can resolve that, not any more words.
